Adi Becker himself has played with Albert Mangelsdorff, Michael Brecker, Kenny Wheeler, Buddy de Franco, Jeff Lorber, George Whitty, Eric Marienthal, Bob Mintzer, Bill Watrous, Bobby Shew, Dave Liebman, Viktoria Tolstoy, Hiram Bullock, as well as artists from the Entertainment music such as Adel Tawil, Albert Hammond, James Blunt, Pe Werner, Gregor Meyle, Heino, Max Mutzke, Klaus Lage, Roberto Blanco, Bill Ramsey, Pepe Lienhard, Captain Jack and the Bläck Föööss. His concert tours took him around the world.
On Sunday, October 13, 2019, he will perform with his fresh CD “BABBELOU” and the great singer Jemma Endersby at the finale of the JazzTube Festival 2019 at the Pantheon Theater.
After years of working as a “sideman,” it was long overdue for Adi Becker to put his own music on paper and record it on CD with some of his closest companions.
In the foreground are melodies that move the heart and grooves that immediately make the foot tap along. The possibilities of a complete big band are exhausted in all pitches, electrifying tuttials alternate with masterful improvisations.
What do Max Herre, Fanta 4 and Rea Garvey have in common?
The woman by her side is called Jemma Endersby, mercilessly good backing vocals and has been out with her own band for some time.
‘ She’s the best ‘Adi Becker
Adi Becker has tailor-made his arrangements for her!
“I come from an Island. The one where you can get fish and chips and vinegar. I sing passionately, sometimes non-stop… I write stuff. I laugh a lot. I like avocados and dark chocolate. I dig people who laugh at themselves. I don’t like counting all the pennies. The word serendipity makes me smile.”Jemma Endersby
We can look forward to an evening with a grooving big band at the highest level, who banish the listener with their melodies from the very beginning.
Varied timbres, surprising twists in the arrangements and, of course, mercilessly good lead vocals by Jemma Endersby!
