JazzTube: Three underground stations transform into a sound tunnel

For five weeks, three Bonn underground stations become a stage for JazzTube.

SWB Bus und Bahn will be presenting the weekly concert series from 25 August to 22 September on Fridays from 5 pm to the stop “Hauptbahnhof / Thomas-Mannstraße”, “Universität / Markt” and “Heussallee / Museumsmeile”. The bands are playing three round half-hour sets each time.

Visitors, fans and passengers have the option to either watch all three sets at a stop or to commute to the other venues during the breaks. All concerts in the subway are free for the public. All dates on jazz-tube-bonn.de.

The “Jerry Lu Sextet”, which invites you to straight ahead jazz, ensures an extraordinary entrance into the evening. (“Hauptbahnhof / Thomas-Mannstraße”, 5 pm, 5.45 pm, 6.30 pm)

With “The Klezmer Tunes” the visitors go on an acoustic track search – from jazz to film music to Mackie Messer. (“University / Market” at 17:15, 6 pm, 6:45 pm)

The evening will be rounded off with the “Trifonoff Jazz Trio”, a tribute to their jazz idols Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and Bud Powell in a modern garb, as well as their own compositions. (“Heussallee / Museumsmeile”, 5.30 pm, 6.15 pm, 7.00 pm (k-red)
